News of today:
- The storm became even worse today. We had to cancel a scheduled trip to the platform, because visibility was much less than 30 m and Gutov´s crew was not sure the Bulldozer could function as backup vehicle if it becomes necessary.
- Hence the day was characterized by some paper work, little workshop activities, continuation of core box construction and ... a lot of snow shoveling (e.g., one of the balok fronts is covered by a 3-4 m snow drift, and the channel dug to the buried balok door always filled within minutes).
- Weather in Pevek was much better, allowing the plane from Moscow (with Volker W., Carsten and Julia) to land and start again (with Chico and Dietmar).
Cross your fingers that the wind calms enough soon, so that we can reach the platform and continue final preparations for the start of drilling
