All,

News of today:

- Drilling with the end of the day shift today has reached 63 m below lake floor. We are still running the HPC; the cores are of great quality (clayey silt with minor sand layers, no degassing) as is the recovery (100 %).

- It has become quiet in the camp most of the time (people are on the platform or sleeping), but from time to time (shift change) it suddenly becomes busy and stressful.

- Shift changes run perfect so far; the bus takes the new crew out (7:30 am and pm) and returns with the old crew and the cores (7:30 am and pm; ca. 20 min each ride). During day shifts, supper is delivered from the camp kitchen, whist the night shift takes a night meal with them (to be heated in a microwave whenever people become hungry and time allows). As we have learned in the last storm, this rapid crew change may be significantly slowed down or not even possible at all at stormy days, but at present the weather is still great, very calm and sunny.

Cheers for now
Martin
