All,
News of today (based on communications worldwide)
- Work on Lake E today was delayed by half a day, because a signature on ice safety requested by Gutov on site needed approval from EBA staff abroad.
- The remaining time was used to clean the ice pad D1 from snow and conduct freeboard measurements.
- Weather kept calm at Lake E while at the same time Pevek was hit by a significant storm. Consequently, the casing and the container stored in Gutov's yard yesterday did not start today. Departure is now scheduled for tomorrow (when winds according to the weather forcast should calm during the day).
- Gutov reported that 2 trucks (with coal/fuel), 1 bus (for shuttling) and the crane are now together 72 km away for the lake, waiting for the wind to calm down in that area, too. This delay is a pity in particular for the crane, which is needed at D1 to set up the rig.
Cheers for now
Martin
