(not much) news of today (infos from Olaf in addition to Chico´s mail)
- The bulldozer made a first trip to D1 and started to clean the pad from snow. The ice is vibrating but not cracking. However, in the moment only one of the two dozers is allowed to work on the ice.
- The start of the ice pad work has further lifted the good mode - also the Russian crew is very much motivated, still working on the ice right now (6 pm at the lake).
- The balok is not yet at site D1 (as reported yesterday); it is planned to be pulled there with the dozer tomorrow.
- The party expects to start pumping tomorrow.
- The only bad news is that a test of the Walkie Talkies showed a maximum range of 3 km - consequently, we will likely rely on the Iridium phones for the communication between camp and drill site.
- Weather still comfortable, with good forecast for the next days.
