All,
News of today:
- Start of Hole 1B was successful. Coring started around midnight, and at the end of the succeeding dayshift we were down to 77 m again. The cored sequence does not show any signs of disturbance due to Hole 1A. Hence, we obviously were able to set up Hole 1B in sufficient distance. The core so far has virtually 100 % recovery. We likely were able to close a gab at a depth of ca. 67-69 m blf in Hole 1A.
- So, we are back in business and currently make much progress. Tomorrow, we may have reached 148 m again and proceed to penetrate the unknown of Arctic´s climatic and environmental history.
Cheers for now
Martin
